Look what the kids made for me . How cool is this.
Finding inspiration in everything from travel, nature and even a shopping catalogues, I am exploring many art mediums. I have always used the "right side" of my brain but lack formal training so I explore ideas and listen to tutorials on the net. I work at anything but a zen approach determined to create and explore at breakneck speed. I am burdened with a 1000 ideas and am happiest when exploring the creative medium of the day.

Practicing my basket skills
It was such a wonderful early morning I spent some time getting rid of the evil ivy and weaving a shape decorated with some flowers.
I lined the inside with leaves I call "Lambs Ears."
It will not last as you need to dry vines first then rehydrate before weaving. But it is nice for the table.

Mixed media class with my best mates and mum.
A fun afternoon where we all learnt lots and completed some lovely girlie works of art for grandchildren and nieces. Thanks Julie Ryder. We will be back to learn more.
A successful result
After presenting an art portfolio of drawings, Lino prints, some very average acrylic paintings, fabric textile art and a photographic book , I was offered a position at Australian National University to Study Visual Arts , majoring in Textiles. I seemed be the only person in the family to be nervous and unsure about my possible offer. When I got home the family had put on a wonderful celebration afternoon tea. Thanks guys, you are my biggest supporters!
