Finding inspiration in everything from travel, nature and even a shopping catalogues, I am exploring many art mediums. I have always used the "right side" of my brain but lack formal training so I explore ideas and listen to tutorials on the net. I work at anything but a zen approach determined to create and explore at breakneck speed. I am burdened with a 1000 ideas and am happiest when exploring the creative medium of the day.

MemoryGifts for Graduation students
Someone had a brilliant idea. All textile students spent time at the screen printing table so why not use the fabric for pencil/makeup bags? They looked great with the contrast retro or 1939's fabric. Forgot to make one for myself!

Macro Micro
Today's theme in a foundation class was Macro micro. After some drawing time we got to work. I chose cardboard as I had not used it before and was able to build a bug almost to large to fit in the boot. So much fun.

A little painting
I did the background months ago and just could not move forward. Finally I got out the paint and my trusty credit card and do what felt right. Colourful and fun . I love it
My First Art exhibit
I was asked by a local coffee shop to display some of my paintings and sketches as a way to increase traffic and fill the walls. How wonderful and they also bought a painting to put next to the coffee machine. Great experience and certainly got comments while I was hanging the work . The house looks a little bare!

3 D final project
Had a wonderful evening learning how to turn a piece of paper into a 3D form. So much fun and I managed to use images from a science journal for kids fro 1964. Great illustrations and thick paper.

Multi Media pages
Trying out ideas in a journal rather than a canvas as it takes less space. Used tissue paper for texture, magazine and postcard cut outs and gesso as an overlay.
