Second attempt at Acrylic painting
"57"
This is a personal piece I was born in "57, my age next year, 57, believe it or not mum recently told me here first phone number was , yep, 57. She is in the (L) hand corner with her pink heart. My Sister In law, Carol , who died recently is represented by the pink dolphins and my granddaughter is represented by the beautiful dragon fly. I have added an ancient Egyptian symbol for Life in the (R) hand corner to balance the emotion. I am the figure trying to find Zen through painting. Still needs work but progress is happening.

Exercise in Colour value/mixing
Take one classic painting by Renoir, recreate in excessively small squares and you covert "On The Veranda" to "Torture on the Veranda." Not easy but a good lesson.

Started class with a couple of tea towels (made in Russia!) and following week paper. Managed to get 2 colours laid in both classes. The words for the giraffe ballon are from a song by Queen. I feel great having leaner so much since the beginning of Sept.

Experimental Snail Mail
Snails eat my post so I thought it would be interesting to try and make a stained glass window . I invited some snails home and in the morning one was missing. Still haven't found him!

Life drawings after 3 lessons.
So as not to offend flowers from the garden are placed delicately over delicate parts. I hope that rose doesn't have any thorns!
A full week of pencil development and after quite a lot if rework Imanaged to get a fairly good result.
Art Speak: the first of several drawings about growing up. This is called "Watch Me Dance". The idea came after a wonderful day playing with my 3 year old granddaughter, dressing up my "Doll"
and the little items I have bought her from my travels. Her innocence and lack of inhibitions allows her to dance. I have began to learn how to dance again when Creating. Perhaps it is my heart dancing but I have joy again. I WILL PUBLISH FINISHED PIECE AS SOON AS I HAVE DONE THE TEDDIES HAIR AND TOUCHED UP THE DRESS.

Picked up the latest Lino prints from the drying rake today.
Very rewarding method of drawing, carving and ink. Developed the idea further and will post the results next week.
